Opening slate, in English, identifies location. Views from window of a railroad train moving quickly past countryside in Galicia during World War 1. Orchards and country cottages are seen. A small stream runs beside the railroad. A seemingly abandoned and overgrown castle on small hill close to the railroad, is seen as the train passes. There is little evidence of war. Russian General and his staff officers walk between formations of Russian troops lined on either side of a road during World War 1. As the General reaches the end of troop formation, he stops to greet the Regiment's Priest who stands near the troops. In the next scene, the Priest blesses the Regiment, as a military band plays. He then kneels and the entire regiment follows to pray, concluding by making the sign of the cross on their chests. The next scene shows the troops massed on one side of the San River, and a boat carrying about 20 soldiers makes its way across the rapidly flowing waters, by means of a cable stretched across the river. A larger boat is seen emptied of soldiers at a landing on the opposite side. The soldiers are walking along a path up a hill. The bigger boat is seen filled with soldiers and an artillery caisson, ready to cross the river. Some soldiers water their horses in the river. Women and children line up at an army outdoor kitchen set up near what appears to be a school building. They receive food from the Army cooks. (WWI; WW1)

Romanian Dictator, marshal Ion Victor Antonescu accompanied by German officers, visiting Romanian troops in Odessa during World War II. They review a welcoming parade with a military band and troops marching across a field. He converses with soldiers and decorates several with medals. He and German General von Manstein present awards to German soldiers and aviators. The Romanian Order of the Crown decoration is displayed on a recipient officer's uniform blouse. As Marshal Antonescu is leaving, General von manstein presents him with a book.Marshal Antonescu boards his Junker JU-52 aircraft. A cresent moon and man's head wearing a fez, are painted on the cowling of the center engine on the airplane. Marshal Antonescu peers out of the cabin window as the aircraft taxis for takeoff.

Livadia Palace (Baturyna St, 44-а, Livadiya, 98655) outside the town was built by Tsar Nicolas II. Most of the conferences are held in this palace. The palace building venue has sprawling gardens. Direct traffic into the palace ground. The cars enter the grounds and dignitaries get off. High ranking military and government officials arrive for an international meeting. Soviet Marshall Joseph Stalin arrives at the palace and guards salute him. British Prime Minister Churchill with cigar in his mouth arrives with his daughter and he is greeted by Mrs. Bodeker. U.S. President Roosevelt at the table and the conference begins. Allied delegates around the table. Joint Communication Center is set up and soldiers work. Conclusion 1st part: BIG 3 surrounded by their Chiefs of Staff and civilian officials pose in the patio of the Lavidia Palace. A picture is clicked. The three leaders Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin seated and state ministers behind them. The conference proceeds, delegates seated around a table. The conference ends and the United States, Soviet Union, and Great Britain release their joint statement. Substantial agreement passed. Franklin D Roosevelt's daughter and staff in a Jeep around the palace grounds (World War II period).
