Palo Alto, California: Former President Herbert Hoover expresses indignation at the brutal intolerance of the Nazis and predicts their 'moral isolation'. He also expresses American support for Jews and Christians in Germany and compares their brutality to the destruction of religious worship by the Bolsheviks in Russia. New York: Reverend RI Gannon of Fordham University and Methodist Bishop Edwin H Hughes raise their voices against the outbreaks of violence and hate against Jews in Europe.
