Meanwhile, the columns of American soldiers passing continues unabated. View shifts to French refugees, an old man and woman, posing for the camera. She shoulders a large basket of belongings. He carries a walking stick and a rod over his shoulder. The woman smiles and waves her fingers at the camera. As they finish posing and begin to move on, a younger woman is seen accompanying them. Next, about a dozen French civilian refugees are seen, some shouldering belongings, and others moving them in wooden wheelbarrows.
