Technicians work with various instruments at Jet Propulsion Lab. Moving part observed in the Van Allen recorder. A technician assembles an instrument package containing high power transmitter, receiver and tape. Compares the instrument package with low power transmitter.
A welder takes a rolled metal sheet and fix it to a holder. Then he welds the rim of the sheet wearing helmet and gloves. Gas flame is used to create high temperature for welding. The welder takes out the cylinder from holder and examines the welded part. The resultant cylinder is probably the shell for rocket motor.

This completed her solo flight from Honolulu, Hawaii (the first person to successfully accomplish such a transpacific flight). A historic, early radio-controlled boat: F Wellington Morse, inventor and builder, demonstrates his radio transmitter control for a small boat model, propelled by two gas powered propellers. Boat goes into water and is controlled via radio control as it turns, circles, and comes back.
