A butcher demonstrates his rocket propelled bicycle at Metropolitan Airport in Van Nuys, California. A small rocket in case is lit and operates for a short time, and then explodes on the ornithopter like bicycle. Bach Aircraft Company Incorporated airplane hangar seen in the background. The butcher then gets on his bicycle, which has wings and rockets attached to enable it to become air borne. The bicycle rockets are lit, the butcher loses balance on the bicycle, and lands in the mud during the demonstration stunt. Fire and smoke rises. Several men rush to help him stand up. They throw a bucket of water on him.
