U.S. 9th Armored Division ceremony in Weiden, Bavaria, marking the end of World War II in Europe
Scene opens with closeup of Major General John W. Leonard, Commanding General of the U.S. 9th Armored Division, addressing his troops at the Schlörplatz in Weiden, Bavaria. He has assembled them to hear the news of Germany's surrender, ending World War 2, in Europe. A color Guard stands behind him. Upon hearing the news, the troops raise their arms and cheer, and partially break formation to converse with each other. They resume their formation and listen, as General Leonard continues to speak. Closeup of him reading from some notes. Scene shifts slightly, showing Leonard and the color guard in front of the Gustav von Schlör monument with famous old oak trees behind it. Next, the troops are viewed from the front, as they stand at Parade Rest with buildings near the square behind them. General Leonard walks down from the makeshift podium and passes in front of the assembled soldiers, and shakes hands with his Chief of Staff, Colonel Walter Burnside. Closeups of them shaking hands and conversing. Scene shifts to a unit Chaplain, giving a prayer of thanks for the end of hostilities. General Leonard and Colonel Burnside walk away from the gathering, as the color guard furls the colors. Suddenly an officer walks up on the grass and retrieves something from the base of the Schlör monument and quickly walks back into the square. A Captain has the color guard unfurl the colors again, which include the stars and stripes flanked by the Division colors and the General's two star flag. Next the entire assemblage poses as they are photographed from a high point some yards away. The view shows the color guard standing on grass in front of the Schlör monument with the massive oaks behind, surrounded by assembled troops, including some in a tank. Scene shifts to rear of the assembly, showing troops in armored vehicles at the back of troops in formation. Some armor is moving along a road behind the assembly. Another long shot of the assembled troops is followed by a closeup of them being called to attention. General Leonard walks into the center of the assembly, followed by several officers. They salute the colors and General Leonard converses with the Division Chaplain, who then steps into the grass in front of the color guard, where he removes his helmet, raises his arm, and gives a benediction as all bow their heads. (Note: Armored vehicles seen in this film include M4 Sherman and M36 Tank Destroyer.)
German forces assist Finland combating Soviet forces in World War II
Gernan involvement in Russo-Finnish war ("Winter War") overlapping with World War II. Opening scene shows map with arrows indicating movement of German forces from Norway, into Finland to help them defend against the Soviets. A sign wreathed in greenery, at the border, reads "Finnland" (in German) and "Suomi" (in Finnish). (Narrator says Finland is no more alone.) Next, a German soldier moves a barrier at the border and German troops on motorcycles, led by a staff car, begin crossing into Finland. They cross a bridge over water. A long line of German trucks, cars and motorcycles moves along a country road. One motorcycle, with sidecar, stops and the two German soldier occupants examine a sign marking the Arctic Circle. A steam locomotive pulling a train leaves a Finnish railroad station. Views from aboard the train as local Finns wave at German soldiers who look out the train windows. Change of scene shows German infantry wading through some snow, (Other places are dry.) They are moving forward and taking up firing positions. Closeup of a German soldier firing his rifle. German gun crew firing a a 7.92mm MG37(t) machine gun. Closeup of the gun firing. German soldiers firing a mortar and the shell exploding in the distance. Closeup of another German gun crew firing an MG37 machine gun. (They are probably from the 6th SS Mountain Division Nord.) Shells exploding as German infantry run forward through light brush. Another 3-man German machine gun crew viewed from behind as they fire their weapon at Soviet positions.

The Nazi Party Rally site, Zeppelin Field, in Nuremberg is decorated with long swastika drapes and other Nazi symbols. SA Sturmabteilung (Stormtrooper) leader, Viktor Lutze gives a warm up speech, as Adolf Hitler and Rudolf Hess, listen. The rally field is filled with SS, SA, and NSKK members in military formation. Hitler takes the stand and delivers a fiery speech to the acclaim of all attending.

Activities at a huge nighttime rally in Germany. Swastikas of the Nazi party are everywhere. Adolf Hitler and Rudolf Hess walk down a long aisle with cheering Nazis on both sides. German Chancellor Adolf Hitler along with his party members as he arrives. At the stage, Hess goes to the microphone and says simply: the Fuhrer speaks, and sits down. Hitler comes to the microphone and stands silent. Then he announces the end of something to which the audience responds with cheers. He then harangues the audience and speaks emphatically, forcefully, and with in an animated fashion. Seen during his speech are: Joseph Goebbels; Ernst Rohm; and Hermann Goering. People cheer. Hess comes to the microphone again and declares something to the effect that Hitler is Germany and Germany is Hitler.

On 28th April, 1939 Hitler replies to Roosevelt's plea to avoid aggression. German Chancellor Adolf Hitler addresses the Reichstag meeting in the Kroll Opera House. The insignia of the National Socialist German Workers Party. Hitler mocks and ridicules U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt's plea to avoid aggression. He recites a long list of nations that FDR ostensibly sought to protect from Nazi aggression. The members in the hall laugh. People cheer after he finishes his speech.

The signing of the Military-Economic Alliance or Tripartite Pact by Germany, Italy and Japan in the Reich Chancellery in Berlin, Germany on September 27, 1940, during World War II. Hitler welcomes delegates at the signing of the Germany-Italy-Japan alliance. A group of diplomats led by Foreign Minister of Germany Joachim von Ribbentrop, Italian Minster of Foreign Affairs Count Galeazzo Ciano and Japanese delegates strides down a long, wide corridor. Same men come into a conference room. Ciano stands at a conference table. The others file in. A close of German officers. German Chancellor Adolf Hitler comes into the room, salutes and is saluted. Hitler approaches Ciano, shakes hand, then approaches Japanese delegates. Hitler, Ciano and Japanese career diplomat Saburo Kurusu at the table with their aides standing behind the envoys. Ribbentrop signs the document followed by Ciano and Kurusu. Hitler and the delegates leave the table. Hitler at the Reich Chancellery window receives cheers of a crowd. Hitler salutes at the window and leaves the balcony.
