Ppilot walks away from the plane as firefighters and equipment move in. The aircraft is from the 146th Aviation Company, 224th Aviation Battalion (Radio Research) at Ton Son Nhut Air Base, Saigon. The many antennae, of various types seen on it, are typical of Special Electronic Mission Aircraft that flew so-called electronic intelligence (ELINT) missions.( Note: This landing was skillfully executed by the pilot with both engines feathered and props rotated to minimize contact with the ground..)
