The Empress The enters their open back limousine, followed by the Kaiser, who is dressed in military uniform with Prussian style helmet. They drive off while German Officer salutes. Complete change of scene shows well-dressed crowd of spectators gathered in Budapest, Hungary, to watch a horse race. Some spectators use binoculars. View of horses in final stretch and crossing finish line. Next scene shows "Flower Day" in Vienna Austria. Wealthy citizens crowd shopping area and contribute to help the poor. Finely dressed pedestrians walking in shopping and commerical areas. They receive flowers as token of contribution. Some men wear flowers in their lapels. Little girls with baskets of flowers participate in the activities, standing in front of the Cafe Scheidl and "Zum Fenstergucker" house near corner of Kaerntner Strasse and Walfischgasse next to the Opera House. A street car decorated with garlands of flowers is a center of the activity. Women on the top deck of the street car reach down with small nets on long poles to retrieve contributions from passersby.

Bulgarian troops mobilize for Morava Offensive on Serbian front

Beginning of the Morava Offensive, pitting Bulgarian forces against Serbs in World War I. Individual Bulgarian soldiers are seen along with civilians in a town square. Bulgarian troops drive numerous horse-drawn wagons loaded with military supplies. Men, women, children and several dogs are seen in the square. Citizens watch as the military convoys pass. Street scene in town. Numerous individual soldiers walking about. Bullock carts carry goods along the roadway. Two Bulgarian officers drive past in an open automobile. Bulgarian troops cavort on a heavy cannon on a captured Serbian fortification. At a city gateway, Bulgarian soldiers are seen walking about in field gear with back packs. A man walks beside a bullock cart. Several Bulgarian officers on horseback and two in an automobile, emerge from the city gate. A steel bridge across the Morava River, partially destroyed by retreating Serbian forces. Long lines of troops and equipment cross a substitute wooden bridge erected nearby. Men are seen in a barge in the river, between the two bridges. Some troops appear to be working to repair the steel bridge. Bulgarian troops building another wooden bridge over the river. More troops and supplies seen crossing the river.

German rocket developments during 1930s

A man holds two rockets. The one shown on the left with the white nose is a double rocket. (These were demonstrated for the Navy at Meppen.) Flag flying over a cabin (named "Arenshorst," by Reinhard Tiling) as rocket firing trials get underway on the island of Wangerooge in the North Sea,during December 1930. Reinhard Tiling emergea from the cabin, carrying a long slender rocket . His assistant Angela Buddenboehmer, and another man (possibly Richard Tiling) follow him across the sand dunes. Two photographers are present and several other men. Tiling inserts the rocket into a launch frame already set up. The team elevates the launcher and Tiling makes some adjustment. At a signal from Tiling, Angela Buddenboehmer pushes a plunger on the ignition control box and the rocket fires and rises. Reinhard Tiling, Buddenboehmer, and Richard Tiling watch it in the sky. Several more launches are shown. Pictures of rocket projectile missiles being launched at Dummersee on April 15, 1931, and of larger missiles at later times.
