Several highlights from the 1967 Senior Bowl football game. A crowd fills the sold-out Ladd Peebles Stadium, in Mobile Alabama, for the Senior Bowl game, matching all star football players from the North and the South. Oregon State's Bob Grim is seen running the ball to pick up 25 yards. North's Quarterback hits Iowa State's Eppie Barney for a touchdown, with 1:13 remaining in the 3rd period. South quarterback Terry Southal, of Baylor, passes to Louisiana State's Dick Redding for a touchdown at the 13:12 mark of the 4th quarter. North's Bob Grim takes handoff and runs from the 40 yard line until pushed out of bounds at the South's 15 yard line. Nebraska's Harry Wilson runs the ball for a touchdown in the 4th Quarter. North beats the South 35 to 15. (Note:The final North tally came at the very end of the game with a pass from BYU's Virgil Carter to Nebraska's Pete Tatman. Bubba Smith of Mich. State was a monster on Defense and won the MVP award.)

U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command conducts DEFCON 1-S readiness exercise at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.

View of United States Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC) B-52 bombers parked at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. They taxi to positions closer to the runway to facilitate quicker launch in the event of an enemy attack without much early warning. Electrical power and heat or air conditioning is suppliied to each aircraft from motorized ground units. Yellow conduits are seen extending into the aircraft cockpits. Various views ot the B-52s in position. Scene shifts to the base alert facility, where an alarm sounds and aircrews respond to vehicles pre-parked on the ramp outside. Closeup of responding aircrew members boarding their vehicles. Next, they are seen boarding their respective aircraft that then start engines and begin to taxi out for takeoff. Views of B-52s taxiing toward the runway. Since this is only an exercise, upon reaching the runway, the aircraft taxi down it and thrn return to their parking places.

Film opens with February 1st, 1967 Change of Command Ceremony for Commanders in Chief of U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC). General John Dale Ryan is assuming command from General Joseph J. Nazzaro. A color guard stands with American flag flanked by flags of Air Force, SAC, units, and award ribbons. A military marching band marches in front of a stage (reviewing stand) where Generals and guests are seated, including Generals Nazarro and Ryan, plus the Commanders of SAC's three Air Forces. Civilian leaders present included Nebraska Governor and Mrs. Norbert Tiemann. Closeup of General Ryan. View of Governor and Mrs. Tiemann standing amongst six Air Force Generals. A traditional ceremony for change of command ensues. The flag of outgoing General Nazzaro is furled and cased and the flag of incoming General Ryan is unfurled and uncased. People gather to greet United States 3rd Infantry Division in New Orleans, Louisiana after they return from the Korean War.

October 29, 1954, General Maxwell B. Taylor, Commander of the U.S. 8th Army, in Korea, escorts a South Korean diplomat up the stairs to a reviewing stand. A color guard is seen and then a view of the Korean representative, General Taylor, and Major General Charles D.W. Canham, Commander of the Third U.S. Infantry Division, saluting as soldiers of the 3rd Division begin marching in review. Camera focuses on the seated Army band, playing for the marchers. Soldiers of the 3rd Division are seen passing behind the band, carrying their Duffel bags and other belongings on their way to board the U.S. Navy transport ship USS General M. B. Stewart (AP-140) which would take them home to the USA. The next scene shows 3rd Division soldiers leaving the the USS M.B. Stewart at New Orleans, Louisiana. A huge banner hangs on a port building welcoming the Division. American troops with massed flags stand with Audie Murphy, on a bunting covered porch to welcome the returning 3rd Division troops. An Army marching band plays as they parade across the dock. Several motorcycle policemen lead a parade or the returning troops along the streets of New Orleans. Scene shifts to Master Sergeant Queen at the filming location for the Army production, "The Big Picture." Audie Murphy is with him, and praises the Army's 3rd Infantry Division, noting that he had served as one of its soldiers.
