Logistics during the Aisne Marne Operation in World War 1. A supply depot in France. U.S. troops offload supplies, from a train, for the American Expeditionary Forces. Several cars and trucks move about the depot yard. Supplies are stacked in various places. Soldiers load boxes into trucks. Two soldiers repair a wooden box labeled: "Liggett & Myers Tobacco Companys." A handful of material with many paper identification tags is passed from one solder to another. It ends up in the hand of one soldier surrounded by others. He smiles and his buddies do too. The soldiers relax and smoke cigarettes. Scene shifts to railroad train, where soldiers unload hay bales (forage) for their animals. A horse drawn liquid tank on wheels stands in the yard. Soldiers place the forage bales into an army truck.
