The Shah presents awards to uniformed officers who bow and kiss his hand. He strolls past a line of bowing officers and stops to chat with members of the diplomatic corps. In a different setting, the Shah is accompanied by Empress Soraya, who carries a bouquet of flowers, as they walk through a dining hall where children are seated at long tables.
