President Herbert Hoover and his wife, Lou Henry Hoover, walking rapidly from a railroad train, accompanied by several officials and military officers who escort them to a waiting automobile. Police controlling the small crowd gathered on local residential sidewalks. The President's car is next seen wending its way through a huge crush of spectators in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts.
