The President and Pat Nixon stand on the platform and wave towards the crowd. Nixon then moves in the spectators stand and shakes hands with people. Officials attending included Governor William Waller, Senator Jim Eastland, Senator John Stennis, and Mississippi congressmen.
U.S. President's helicopter lands in the south lawn of the White House. President Nixon proceeds along a walkway from the Oval Office of the White House. He waves to White House staff as he crosses the lawn toward the helicopter. First Lady Pat Nixon, followed by daughters, Patricia (Trish) and Julie Eisenhower, with her husband, David, cross the lawn in distance and board the helicopter before the President.
