Naval officers on the deck as they look seawards. Men along the edge of the aircraft carrier as a Vought VE-7SF aircraft comes in for landing. The aircraft floats with tail hook visible and then when the hook catches, the Aircraft noses over into the deck. Sailors run to assist the pilot and aircraft. Another Vought VE-7SF comes in for a landing. It appears successful, but at last moment, it too noses over, and then settles back in normal position. A third VE-7SF comes in for landing and spins sideways as the hook catches. Sailors run to assist the pilot.

A Douglas DT-2 with pontoons (float plane) is catapulted from the carrier. Sailors sit beside the flight deck of the USS Langley.
