A narrow gauge train of the Rio Grande San Juan Extension (later the Cumbres and Tultec Scenic Railroad) plows its way through the snow of a Rocky Mountain pass near Cumbres. The locomotive engine of the train is equipped with a rotary snowplow that clears away the deep snow from the tracks. The train approaches two men waving.
