Change of scene to Navy warships on maneuvers. The USS King (DL-10/DLG-10/DDG-41) a Farragut Class (also known as Coontz Class) guided missile destroyer and and the Aircraft Carrier, USS Coral Sea (CVA 43) with deck full of F-4 Phantom aircraft. An F-4 aircraft is seen on combat air patrol overhead. A closeup shows it is the same aircraft shown earlier, piloted by Lt JG D.H. Rogers. The F-4 rolls over and dives. Scene shifts to combat control center aboard the aircraft carrier, where controllers convey target information to the F-4. View of pilot in cockpit and his missile targeting display. He is cleared to arm missile and fire. Interior of his cockpit as he engages the arm toggle switch. The F-4 fires a missile that is seen striking and destroying a drone target, which falls flaming into the sea. Second he warns any launch by USSR to U.S. Then he tells about meeting with organization of Consultation regarding regional security arrangements. He refers about meeting with security council. He discusses Soviet threat to world. President invites Chairman Khrushchev to mediate between Cuba and UN on this matter. He restates no wish to war but difficulty in living in atmosphere of timidness. President Kennedy addresses Cuban people who would be listening this telecast by special radio telecast. He states we respect justice and peace for all. He expresses sorrow for Cuban people. He pronounces Cuban leaders puppets of international conspiracy. He then asks U.S. citizen to be prepared for paying cost of freedom as sacrifice and patience. He states doing nothing to be greatest hazard. He restates U.S. commitment to never choose the way of surrender and work for freedom with peace.

Ambassador Adlai Stevenson addresses United Nations Assembly about United Sates action against Cuba and Russia, during timeframe of Cuban Missile Crisis. Ambassador Stevenson hopes and prays for peace. He tells Soviet Union to end their actions against United States. He refers to the initiative of President John F Kennedy to quarantine war. He informs about the Organization of Consultation meeting, which is a part of the Organization of American States. He then talks about the resolutions in 19 paragraphs adopted by them. First is immediate dismantling of offensive metals from Cuba. Second, he refers to article 6 and 8 and all necessary measure including use of arms against any offensive attempt on U.S. Third, is to inform security council of UN under article 54 of U.S. charter about the resolution, and the same information to be given to Cuba.

An open truck filled to overflowing with people celebrating the Armistice ending World War 1. Camera tracks the truck briefly as it maneuvers around street corners. Crowds line the sidewalks. Then camera films spectators from a vehicle driving along the streets. A particularly large number of spectators surround the Old Executive Office Building. Many hold small American flags. But there is no cheering or merrymaking, as such, because everyone is waiting for the parade and related events to begin. The bulk of spectators are women. Several uniformed soldiers are seen, and some children. Crowds around the entrance to the White House.

Activities in Washington DC, immediately following the armistice ending World War 1. President Woodrow Wilson exits the White House and enters a Pierce Arrow limousine, license plate number 80002, in the driveway. It drives away. Scene shifts to the U.S. Capitol, where the car, with Secret Service agents on its running boards, drives past a crowd of people celebrating, who wave at the President. The crowd disperses after the President's car passes. A number of uniformed soldiers are present amongst the crowd. One speaks with several of the people gathered, and demonstrates how a carrier pigeon is used. He fastens a message on a carrier pigeon,and then releases it. (World War I; World War 1; WWI; WW1)
