Vietnamese New Year (Tet) celebrations at Lang Ong Temple, Saigon, Vietnam

Heavily crowded street scenes during Tet (New Year) festival with celebrants dressed up for the occasion. This temple known as Lang Ong, is located about 5 kilometers north-east of Saigon center. Vehicular traffic includes cars, two-wheelers, and cycle-rickshaws. Many Vietnamese civilians enter a Buddhist temple. Buddhist Vietnamese lighting incense sticks. They pray and offer incense inside the temple. People gather in a circle to witness the traditional lion dance performed by two artists. (Vietnam War period).

The Mitsubishi-Urakami Ordnance Plant shows the effects of atomic blasts of World War II on its light steel frame structure in Nagasaki. While the structurally stronger east wall and the center section of the building withstood the blast comparatively well, the entire section has been displaced.
