Hippies kill their name in a mock funeral adopting the name of Freebies in San Francisco. A "dead" man, symbolizing the old Hippie name, is lifted by the hippies during a procession through Haight-Ashbury. The hippie crowd performs and dances around a bonfire, and jumps over the burning remains.
