Eleven hundred rioting prisoners set six buildings on fire in St Vincent de Paul Penitentiary in Montreal, Canada. Jail guards run to control the prisoners. Prisoners run everywhere in the jail compound. Water hose throws water on the jail buildings to extinguish fire. Guards with arms march in to control the prisoners trying to escape from the jail.
Premier Gyula Gömbös of Hungary in Germany on 28th September, 1935. Hungarian Prime Minister, Gyula Gömbös de Jakfa reviews a military honor guard, escorted by a German officer. The Prime Minister mingles with Hermann Goering and other German officials and dignitaries at an intimate reception in Berlin. He gives a short impromptu speech in German.
Ground targets attacked by U.S. aircraft on 11th April 1944 in World War II. Aircraft of 8th Fighter Command is piloted by Lieutenant D.E. Schoenfeldt of 357th Squadron. Aircraft strafes a German Junkers Ju 88 bomber stationary on airfield.
American Army airmen are seen working on an American-built De Havilland DH-4 aircraft ("Liberty Plane") in a hangar, during World War 1. One airman picks up a Marlin M1918 machine gun from the ground and holds it up for the camera to photograph from various angles. He then hands the gun to two other airmen in the DH-4 cockpit, who install it next to one already in place. The scene also clearly shows the American 400 HP V-12 Liberty engine installed in the plane (cover has been removed). Next, an airman is seen in the observer (gunner) position in the rear of the airplane. He is installing a Lewis machine gun in the Scarff ring of the plane. He checks the ability of the gun to vary its elevation in the Scarff ring.
