Repatriated prisoners arrive at a U.S. camp in Korea where a sign reads 'Welcome: gate to freedom'. They are helped down from military trucks as another American soldier checks their names from a list. After they get off, the trucks move away.
An American helicopter lands in Korea as local people look on. An injured Korean soldier is carried on a stretcher into a truck. A soldier carries another injured soldier on his back to the truck.
United States Secretary of State, John Foster Dulles and Korean Minister, Pyun Young T'ao, sign the US-Korean Mutual Defense Treaty . After signing the papers they shake hands. Dulles is seen as he leaves the building, in the company of U.S. officials, including John Cabot Lodge who accompanies him in his departing car. Others exit the building including the U.S. Commanding General in Korea, Maxewll Taylor.who enters his own car and departs.
Members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Arrairs look at a map and discuss the Korean Mutual Defense Treaty with Secretary od State John Foster Dulles. He looks at the map and discusses the matter with Committee Chairman Andrew Wiley and Senator Walter Frankoin George. Other Committee members seen include Senators J.
