A Hitler Youth drum and bugle corps plays as Nazi Party national youth leader Baldur Benedikt von Schirach, and Adolf Hitler enter the stadium. Baldur von Schirach says a few words, followed by Hitler (who makes a point of addressing girls, as well as boys, in his remarks). The youth respond enthusiastically to Hitler's remarks and salute and cheer as he departs in an open car.

They look from the balconies of their houses. A military band plays music. Nazi brownshirt Storm Troopers (Sturmabteilung or "SA") parade. Hitler in a motorcade reviews the parade. Stormtroopers hold flags and march. People look from the balconies. Joseph Goebbels; Hermann Göring (Goering). At one point Heinrich Himmler is seen leading a procession of soldiers. Himmler is then seen approaching and saluting Hitler, and then standing below and beside him to continue watching the parade. Parade includes contingent of the National Labor Service (Reichs Arbeit Dienst). Several German military are seen, most of whom render traditional hand salute to forehead, rather than the Nazi salute. All marchers use goosestep.

In unrelated sequence, German military maneuvers are on display. twin engine aircraft in formation flight over a field. Tanks advance forward. Artificial buildings burn. Soldiers march holding guns. Mounted Calvary unit parades. Troops drive in half-tracks. Hitler watches. Yet, another unrelated sequence shows a solemn ceremony attended by Hitler and Rudolf Hess, in which Hitler receives a large sword in a scabbard. Nazi party members attend this intimate ceremony. Hitler holds the sword.
Role of United States Coast Guards. A luxury liner, SS Morro Castle burns at sea as smoke rises from it. United States Coast Guard Cutter Tampa (WPG-48) underway to rescue the people on board the liner. A 75 foot long patrol boat underway to reach the burning vessel. Men aboard life boats. Men swim in the sea as lifeboats rescue them. Men swim towards the beach where beach patrol men save their lives. Smoke rises from the burning ship. USCG Cutter Tampa seen towing the SS Morro Castle after the disaster (but the hawser then broke and the Morro Castle drifted aground). Explosion in coal mine leads to disaster in Borinage Belgium. Numerous people gathered on road. Rescue team approaches the site. Police men restrict men and women from entering the disaster site. Dead bodies. Men bring out a dead body from the mine. King Leopold II of Belgium personally supervises and instructs the rescue team in relief work. Wounded people sit on the road side while a woman cries. The burial procession accompanying the dead bodies to the grave. Thousands of people stand on the road side as the procession passes.
Thousands of people visit World's Fair in Chicago, Illinois. Many are young people, especially teenagers, taking advantage of a one-day reduction in admission prices to the fair.
