Police controlling the small crowd gathered on local residential sidewalks. The President's car is next seen wending its way through a huge crush of spectators in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts. Several views of the crowds. People massed at the front of the Victorian-era Edwards Congregational Church. The church entrance is adorned with black draping. Official visitors enter the church, with some difficulty due to the crowds. View shifts to inside the church, where the former President's bier sits flanked by a military honor guard of two soldiers. Garlands of flowers cover the casket. Scene shifts, again, to the huge crowds outside, and to pallbearers carrying the casket of former President Coolidge through the crowd, followed by President and Mrs. Hoover and their party. The President and First Lady enter their car. A sign on a pole near their car reads: "Elm St." and points toward Pittsfield. Another reads: "Main St." and points toward Greenfield. The President's car drives away through the crowd. Other officials also leave the church and proceed towards their cars. A stalled motorcade is seen in the center of the city.

Seven-year old Pete Mole, heads off to school from his home, riding a unicycle. He carries his lunch box in one hand and his school books in the other. He is soon surrounded by a phalanx of school children who accompany him, some on roller skates. Later, he is seen arriving at the school where he dismounts and parks his unicycle near the door and enters. (Pete Mole went on to become an important innovator in the bicycle business, known, among other things, for the banana seat; high rise bike; and folding bikes.)
