The camp was overcrowded and included American fliers transferred from the Luft III aviators prison camp, who probably occupy the white tents in the field near the buildings. Several of those fliers are seen sun bathing. Huge fire and smoke seen rising from the burning buildings.

Large numbers of French and other European prisoners, along with displaced persons (carrying their belongings in carts) are seen filling the roads and paths in an exodus from a German prison camp, in final days of World War 2. Several boys pose outside the gate of a German Army establishment. The military evacuees are all dressed in uniform and seem in relatively good health. Several carry a French tricolor flag.
