Pope Paul VI blesses the crowds while carried on the sedia gestatoria chair. Two large white ostrich fans (flabella) are carried at either side of the sedia gestatoria. A procession of priests follows the Pope. Papal Swiss Guards in full armor flank the procession. Priests carrying the Papal miters inside Saint Peter’s Basilica.
