President John F Kennedy answers a question put forward by a reporter during his election campaign, whether his loyalties would be divided between the Church and the President's office.
View after a heavy snow storm. Snow covered house and a footbridge. Ducks in a pond. Pedestrians walk along city street in a blizzard with blowing snow and heavy winds. Man shovels snow. Family helps a stuck delivery truck leave their driveway as it is stuck in the deep snow. Cars drive and children playing in snow. Children pull sleds in the snow and walk along with a small dog. Men shovel part of a road as two streetcars or trolleys pass by. Man drives a horse drawn wagon on a snowy road.
Farmer drives a horse drawn cultivator on farm field. Man plows field with the cultivator. The cultivator is driven by two horses.
Four mules pull a two-wheeled rig with massive wheels (perhaps 10-12 feet in diameter) with a large cut log chained underneath its single axle. Man sits on the large wheel rig as he drives it through forest where logging and timber harvesting operations are underway.
Ground Infantry quiz in a World War 2 feature. Special effects are used in the quiz to partially obscure the identity of a dancer performing on stage. Two other dancers are shown: Ann Miller and Betty Grable. Then the effects are removed to show that the mystery dancer is Eleanor Powell dancing in a bullfight themed dance.
Bootleg whiskey and liquor is brought up from an underground storage area via elevator and loaded onto a truck. A crowd watches along a city street as the liquor is loaded into the truck. Next scene shows the truck backed up to the edge of a lake or large body of water. Officials smash and break barrels and cans with spades and pick-axe to drain the illegal liquor. They smash beer bottles and empty barrels in the water. Final scene shows a group of men picking through the empty bins, bottles, and barrels, looking for leftover liquor. A man raises a bottle to his mouth to drain it. Another man finds a smashed can with some leftover liquor and he drains it into a jar.
