After arriving at the new position, they are ordered to move again, because of movements of the Japanese forces. This time, the troops pitch in and use sheer manpower to move a howitzer. Scene shifts again, to Italy, where U.S. troops attempt to ford a river on the road from, Benevento, to Caserta, after German forces destroyed all bridges along it. A truck is seen successfully crossing after combat engineers created a path for it. Trucks and jeeps move through muddy paths. The last image shows a jeep equipped with a tall bumper-mounted wire cutter.

They disembark from the landing crafts. Crates, shells, food, ammunition and fuel drums are unloaded from the landing crafts and are arranged. Big guns and artillery are moved into position on the island. Coconuts trees are fell by using dynamite. Artillery is fired, explosions occur and smoke rises. The material needed for war - iron, rubber, medical supplies and ammunition. Dead lying on the ground. Wounded are evacuated and carried on stretchers to battalion aid stations. (Note: The B-17 Number 41-2403 ditched January 27, 1943, on the way from Guadalcanal to Espiritu Santo, with Brigadier General Nathan Farragut Twining, Commander, 13th Air Force, on board. On 1 February 1943, the U.S. Navy rescued him and 14 others from their life rafts, near New Hebrides Islands.)
