The group is headed by Sergeant George Otners, whom Miller introduces, along with the String Section. Major Miller introduces the Saxaphone Section, headed by Sergeant Hank Freeman, who formerly played with the Artie Shaw band. Miller also introduces Sergeant Albert, his bass player.
