United States ship Langley (CV-1) underway as a United States Aeromarine 39-B aircraft crashes on the deck. At end of final approach, the airplane rolls to the right and lower right wing strikes the leading edge of the flight deck and breaks off. The aircraft ends nosed over and severely damaged. A Douglas DT-2 with pontoons (float plane) is catapulted from the carrier. Sailors sit beside the flight deck of the USS Langley.
