A snow covered drill field at a French Army barracks during World War 1. The words, "Viva la France," appearing to have been stamped out in large letters in the snow. Troops marching next to barracks buildings in far background. Suddenly, the "letters" in the snow get up and one realizes they were soldiers lying in the snow to spell out the battle cry. The British Government relocates the Chinese boat dwellers or Tanka people in Hong Kong. Sampan boat houses crowd in Aberdeen Harbor. The British colonial government provides one room for each family in this large-scale housing project. Vehicles on the beachhead carry the boat dwellers to the British Crown colony. The boats are destroyed.
