Iraq Petroleum Company (IPC) facilities post World War II
Iraqi and British officials at an event involving visitors at a facility of the Iraq Petroleum Company, following World War 2. Officials emerge from a warehouse building. One official wears sunglasses and holds a tobacco pipe. British officials accompanied by wives, walk along a boardwalk to a gangplank, where they climb aboard a ship. Change of scene shows a. street scene at a bridge where several street vendors display their wares. City buildings across the bridge, in background. A man wearing keffiyeh walks past. Camera moves to the wellhead inside an oil drilling rig, where Iraqi "roughnecks" are working with Byron Jackson Company oil drilling equipment. Brief glimpse of British visitors walking toward a ship, after a postwar visit to an IPC facility in Iraq. Scene shifts to an oil derrick and drilling rig rising above oil storage tanks at a sandy site. Camera pans up the derrick. Change of scene shows gathering of British people with IPC officials at some kind of event. Next, a group of officials is seen briefly, outside a facility warehouse. Two men greet each other. A military officer stands nearby. Camera then jumps to inside the oil rig, shown earlier where Iraqi "roughnecks" wrestle pipe, insert a new section, and continue drilling. View of worker walking among oil tanks at the facility. Views of natural gas compressors; large transmission pipes; and a worker closing one, in a set of valves at the site. Broad view from the derrick, showing supplies and equipment laid out in the sand and a vista of miles, with distant structures including (possibly) worker housing and support facilities.

Several aircraft flying high overhead during World War I. Scene shifts to soldiers on the ground, at an airfield. One is looking skyward with binoculars. Two others lean over a table with paper stretched out on it. A third soldier stands at a large black cloth-covered box, where only his legs are seen.(This is a camera obscura.) The soldier, with binoculars, joins the two looking over the table and paper, which contains a diagram of concentric rings. One uses a ruler to make marks on the diagram.Air Service man inside the Camera Obscura plots the course of an aircraft. First Major League Baseball All Star Game; Ruth's home run gives American League a 4-2 victory
Newsreel clip on Major League Baseball's first-ever All-Star Game in 1933 at Chicago's Comiskey Park. As title card notes, a home run by Babe Ruth (not seen in this clip) would propel the American League to a victory over the National League. Game footage: Joe Cronin of the Washington Senators flies out to end the third inning. Lon Warneke of the Chicago Cubs pitches for the National League. In the top of the fifth inning, Wally Berger of the Boston Braves grounds out to first. View of some of the 47,595 fans in attendance. In the bottom of the fifth, the Yankees' Babe Ruth takes a ball and a brushback pitch, then hits a single, running to first in his distinct "pigeon-toed" style. With Ruth on first, Warneke strikes out Lou Gehrig of the Yankees. (Note numerous photographers on the field.) Al Simmons of the Chicago White Sox hits a single, but Jimmie Dykes of the White Sox grounds out to end the inning. In the top of the sixth inning, Lefty O'Doul of the New York Giants grounds out to first. Pepper Martin of the St. Louis Cardinals grounds out with Lon Warneke on third, scoring Warneke. With bases empty, Frankie Frisch of the Cardinals hits a home run. Final score would be 4-2, AL
