A new discovery called 'Quicold' is used to freeze water and other liquids in New York.

Ice making chemicals tested in New York. Scientists make a new discovery - certain powders that absorb heat so quickly when mixed that they freeze water or other liquids instantly. This combination is called 'Quicold'. Two men at a table in a laboratory. One scientist mixes two powders and a liquid in a martini shaker to create the 'Quicold'. He then screws on the lid and gives it to the second man who mixes the three together. Fog on the shaker surface. A thermometer is used to check the temperature of the prepared fluid. The temperature drops rapidly. The man inserts three test tubes filled with water into a beaker full of the prepared fluid. On removal, the water in the test tubes is frozen.
