Soviet Russian Polikarpov I-16 (type5) fighter airplanes parked on a flight line. Engines are started and running on several of them. Next, the 12in triple gun turret of the Soviet Gangut class battleship, Parizhskaya Kommuna dominates a front view of the ship. This Dreadnought battleship (formerly the Sevastopol) was updated in 1928 and deployed in the Black Sea Fleet. Next, a huge open field is seen, filled with Soviet T-26 tanks raising dust as they move in formation. Scene shifts to an industrial steel plant, where a Soviet steel worker looks into a blast furnace peep hole to assess the state of the process. He phones others to tell them it is ready to be tapped.
