Testing of German one-man torpedo-carrying craft in World War II

View of German Grand Admiral Karl Doenitz. Complete change of scene shows a torpedo being loaded on a German Neger torpedo-carrying craft for a demonstration at Flender-Werke in Lübeck, Germany, during World War 2. Designed by Richard Mohr (whose surname means blackamoor),this craft cannot submerge but runs low, awash in the water. It is seen moving that way in the water and firing its torpedo. Back at the base, the operator, wearing an iron cross, climbs out of the craft. (Note: Not surprisingly, this little torpedo-carrier was sometimes called a human torpedo.)

German scientists experiments with rocket propulsion units in Peenemunde, Germany.

German scientists experiment with rocket propulsion units in Peenemunde, Germany. A static test stand in Peenemunde. A vertically raised platform, the frame support of the mounting units at the stand. A load is moved over tracks on the stand. A propulsion unit is lifted and placed in the vertical test stand. An equipment is railed inside. Buttons on the control panel in the control room. Two scientists preparing for the tests (one appears to possibly be Wernher von Braun). A scientist views through a telescope and adjusts settings. The propulsion unit fires. It releases smoke. The emission exhausts. The scientists monitor from the control room. (World War II period).
