Aviator Douglas Corrigan at Floyd Bennett Air Field in Brooklyn, New York completes his transcontinental flight from Floyd Bennett Air Field to Ireland. Motorcade of Corrigan arrives as crowd watches. He stands on a stage and gets honored. American aviator, Douglas "wrong way" Corrigan speaking on July 18, 1938 (after landing in Ireland) about his alleged mistake in heading across the Atlantic instead of towards California, in a flight from New York City.
