U.S. destroyers and battleships in live fire maneuvers, in the Atlantic

Flotilla of U.S. destroyers underway in formation. Torpedo tubes and depth charges seen on aft deck of a destroyer churning up considerable wake, as it moves at high speed. A sailor climbs upon a seat atop the torpedo tube assembly, while another sailor rotates the assenble to port. The torpedoman uses controls to aim the tubes. View from different time and location, shows a torpedo being launched from tube in very calm waters. The torpedo makes big splash as it hits water and another soon after, before proceeding away, across an open bay. A line of battleships firing salvoes from their heavy guns. The smoke raised is so dense, that it obscures the entire scene completely.
