A team of horses pulls a wagon across the bridge. Next, a troop of mounted French cavalry are shown (from the rear) as they proceed toward the front, along a road, lined by trees. A Red Cross covered wagon is being pulled along in their formation. Momentary glimpse of a French 320mm railway gun with some smoke rising from its barrel after firing. Belgian soldiers on the firing line in a shallow trench in no man's land. As they fire their rifles, one of them is hit and helped to the rear by companions.
