In celebration by Italy of "Spanish Day", and of the Patron Saint Ferdinand by the right-wing nationalist Spaniards, an assembly is held. School boys march, some in a uniform of white short sleeve shirts and dark shorts; others in an all blue paramilitary uniform. Some of the boys carry rifles or drums. The students stand at attention with hands waved in a fascist salute while the Italian Minister and Dr. Avierno inspect. Then the boys march by the dignitaries. Festive streamer flags and flags of several nations wave. An audience of citizens is in the background in a grandstand. On behalf of Franco, Dr. Avierno is present and addresses those gathered.
