While traveling on motorcycle (seen being unloaded from boat), the German soldier had been hit by fire from Sergeant Harril (seen standing over him with his rifle in the boat). The U.S. soldiers attend to the prisoner and put him on a stretcher. The soldier chewing gum who is standing while the boat is crossing the Seine, and moves the motorcycle off the boat and then assists the injured German soldier disembarking from the boat is Lieutenant Stockridge Bacchus, from "A" Company of the 314th Infantry Regiment of the 79th U.S. Infantry Division. (World War II period).
