Spartakiada, a Soviet Union festival of sports held on the opening of the VI Lenin Stadium (Luzhniki Stadium) in Moscow on 31 July, 1956. Participating athletes from all over the Soviet Union as well as other countries, are seen parading in the opening ceremonies. Almost all carry flags and banners. Some accompany decorated floats.
