ARVN soldiers advance during the Tet Offensive Battle of Hue in the Vietnam War. Refugees cross wrecked Truong Tien Bridge. Destruction in the city due to battle. Soldiers distribute food and medical supplies to the people. People run in search of shelter and to protect themselves from firing and bombardment. Child takes his father on his back to help him move to a safe place. People carry family members on their shoulders and help the handicapped and old people to reach safety. People are crying because of destruction and loss of life. They are sent to safety as soldiers help them to cross to the other side of the bridge. They walk with their belongings in their hands. Other people help them by taking the injured people on stretchers. A man and a child look at the graves of the civilians who died in the battle.

Woman cries after crossing remains of a destroyed bridge over river. Scenes changes to one year later: Long line of Vietnamese on way to newly discovered mass grave on March 25, 1969. Vietnamese civilians dig and on March 27, 1969 they begin to uncover bodies in the sand which show signs of torture. Locals try to identify dead. Second mass grave uncovered. Dead bodies and body parts. Third mass burial uncovered. Men at local authorities meeting. Assembly point for hundreds of coffins. Incense burning. Mourners at coffin. Coffin opened and woman looks at remains. Flowers and incense burning on coffins. Buddhist ceremonies shows coffins prepared for procession. Women grieve. Shrine at cemetery.
Refugees scramble for freedom soon after First Indochina War. Children seen in huge crowd. People carry a banner reading 'Long live mutual assistance, Spirit of Western Powers'. People wear local hats. Red troops poise on the outskirts of Haiphong ready to take over the city as the French troops leave Vietnam. Red troops march in the streets.
Exteriors of Vietnamese First Signal Brigade headquarters are seen. Sign board of the headquarter in front of the buildings. U.S. military vehicles parked outside the building. U.S. soldiers move around the vehicles. An army jeep moves with high speed on the road . (Vietnam War period).
F-8E Crusader aircraft of U.S. Marine Squadron VMF (AW) 232, (Red Devils) taxiing from revetment with wings folded and canopy open. A ground crewman wears noise suppressor headset and walks forward. The F-8E taxis out and joins another F-8E on the active runway. They proceed to take off successively. They are heavily loaded and require unusually long takeoff distances. Armorer and ground crewmen stand near to an F-8E in a revetment. The armorer inspects 250 pound bombs mounted under the aircraft's wing. (Vietnam War period).
