Selected paratroopers are addressed by Director prior to their training as riggers. Director's speech includes brief summary of their 3 months training. Riggers are trained to lay out parachute without tangles. Parker, a rigger under training tries to lay parachute but cannot remove tangles. An instructor comes to help him and guides him to lay parachute properly. Riggers practice laying parachutes. Next, the Instructor guides them to pack parachutes. "Little Rock Nine" African American students are escorted from Little Rock Central High School by armed United States Army 101st Airborne soldiers, and enter a Country Sedan station wagon under 'Operation Arkansas' in Little Rock. Soldiers board a jeep and follow the station wagon. Soldiers march and drill with guns in front of the school.
