Damaged U.S. Army Support Group truck seen after ambush by elements of Korean Peoples' Army in the Korean DMZ

Following an attack by elements of the North Korean Peoples'Army, a U.S. Army 3/4 ton truck with canvas cover sits on dirt road. Its left front and rear tires are flattened. Several papers are scattered on the driver's seat. View from across the road. Two military policemen (MPs), assigned to the Joint Security Area, examine the truck. Front view of truck shows numerous bullet holes in the windshield. A tee shirt hangs on the radio antenna. Bumper contains identification reading : "UNC-USASS.JSA-16." Another vehicle drives around and behind the truck. MP comes from behind the truck and leans his weapon against its left rear fender. (Note: this U.S. Army Support Group truck was ambushed South of the Joint Security Area on April 14, 1968. During the encounter, two U.S. soldiers and two Koreans, augmenting the U.S. Army, were killed in action and two U.S. soldiers were wounded in action. )

View of the U.S. Carrier USS Philippine Sea (CVA-47) underway, during the Korean War, with a deck full of aircraft. Change of scene shows Vice Admiral Arthur D. Struble, Commander 7th Fleet, holding conference aboard a ship (possibly his flag ship, the Cruiser USS Rochester). His three star flag is displayed on bulkhead behind the three participants. Another change of scene to below decks of the aircraft carrier, USS Valley Forge (CV-45) where sailors prepare a 5th Carrier Group F9F for flight. They raise it up on an elevator to the flight deck. It is an aircraft of Squadron VF52 and displays CVG-5 tail code "S." A tow moves the aircraft into position on the flight deck. Crewman moves a bomb across the deck on a dolly. Sailors lift bombs up to flight deck. Remaining footage shows aircraft being armed with rockets, among other armaments.

F4U Corsair aircraft of Squadrons VF-53 and VF-54 being armed while parked on flight deck with wings folded. Several start engines and begin to taxi. Rockets are mounted under their wings and bombs under their fuselages. One is given signal and commences takeoff roll. Two AD-4 Skyraiders, of Squadron VA-55, also take off from the carrier. All the aircraft seen display the CVG-5 tail code "S."
