A C-119 flying boxcar airplane lands at an airfield. Rear view of the aircraft, with rear clamshell doors open wide, and twin booms overhead. Several ground crew in and around the aircraft. Navy officers measure an object to see if it will fit in the C-119. Naval officers, civilian technician, and others stand around an aircraft tail section. Mechanic works on empennage of an aircraft. Sailors manually carry tail section of U.S. Navy F9F-2 airplane, serial number 123571, and place it into the open tail of the C-119. Jet engine is hoisted on a truck that is backed to the C-119 tail.
