Patton and the Brigadier General both wear 1st Armored Division patches on their uniforms. General Patton stands watching as army vehicles including trucks,halftracks,jeeps, and heavy armor, offload from Landing ships. Officers and soldiers on the beach take temporary cover as explosions occur close offshore, from enemy artillery fire.
