A Nazi German Messerschmitt Bf 110, (Me 110) in a hangar of the Vultee aircraft manufacturing company in Downey, California, early in World War 2, and before America's entrance into the war. The aircraft (possibly captured by the British?) is seen going through inspection by workers at the Vultee plant. There are some bullet holes and signs of damage in the captured plane. Men in the cockpit of the plane inspect it. Other men watch.
Auto workers strike in Dearborn, Michigan, shutting down the Ford River Rouge plant. Auto workers demonstrate with boards and placards. A board reads: 'We Want Democracy'. The CIO workers picket the plant. A near riot ensues as several non strikers (possibly scabs) are hurt as they try to enter the factory. Striking workers grab and hit a man, beating him with fists and sticks or a club. Several men help get the man back to safety after breaking up the fight. Police seen moving strikers workers back from the scene.
