King Paul and Queen Fredericka arrive in parliament of Greece, in Athens to take oath as new monarch of Greece. Deputies stand on their seats and clap for the King and Queen. King Paul replaces his recently deceased brother King George. After the oath taking King and Queen went out of the parliament saluted and greeted by deputies.
Spanish military troops march in Madrid on the eighth anniversary of National Victory. Civilians cheer and enjoy the parade. Cavaliers and tank regiment present the guard of honor for Spanish dictator General Francisco Franco. A tremendous crowd outside his house cheers for him. He raises both hands towards the crowd's.
British monarchs tour to Africa. King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret visit the Victoria Falls, twice as high as Niagara Falls, on the Zambezi River running between Zambia and Rhodesia (today Zimbabwe). King George VI presents a gift to the ruling Chief of Barotseland, Imwiko Lewanika, known as the Mbumu wa Litunga. Lozi natives dance and native residents play drums. The Jato bottles fire and the aircraft is launched into the air after a very short ground run, with smoke spurting from the JATO rocket cylinders. Another view of the Jato takeoff is seen as well.
