Gar Wood sets a new salt water speed record with his "Miss America Tenth" boat in Miami, Florida.

Inventor and speedboat racer, Gar Wood, shakes hands with two men welcoming him at a boat slip in Biscayne Bay, Florida, in 1935. Scene shifts to Gar Wood and members of his racing team standing by his boat, "Miss America Tenth,"in a slip. Hoisting chains are suspended beside the boat's hull, and its engines are exposed with covers and exhausts removed. Wood talks with boat designer Nap Lissee, who is wearing a cap and white coveralls, with "Packard" written on its back. Lissee is pointing toward the engine compartment. Change of scene shows glimpse of Gar Wood and his mechanic, Orlin Johnson in their racing attire with goggles. Tsar Nicholas II is seen with Grand Duke, Nicholas Nikolaevich (the tall officer in his retinue) during a military review at beginning of World War 1. Along with senior Russian officers, they review troops in formation at a parade ground near St. Petersburg (Petrograd) Russia. After reviewing the formation, they walk past a low platform in the center of the field, where Russian Orthodox Metropolitan vladimir (Bogoyavlensky) of Petrograd (St. Petersburg) stands with several priests. With their hats removed, The Tsar and his party review a military unit in formation, whose members also have their their hats removed. The Tsar and party approach the Bishop and stop to cross themselves. The Bishop responds with a slight bow to the Tsar. Scene changes to members of the French military mission to Russia standing at the edge of the parade grounds. Next, the Tsar and his retinue walk to take up a position from which to review Russian troops on parade. Alexei Nikolaevich, Tsarevich of Russia, in uniform, walks with his father. As troops pass in review, young Alexei is seen at left of the screen standing at attention. Scene shifts to another part of the grounds, where camera pans across the Tsar and party to military representatives from other nations.

U.S. 306th and 91st Bomb Wing aircraft and personnel return to McCoy AFB, Florida and Glasgow AFB, Montana

U.S. Air Force (Strategic Air Command) B-52 bombers land back in the U.S. after 6 months deployment in Southeast Asia, during the Vietnam War. United States 306th Bomb Wing planes and crews return back to McCoy Air Force Base in Florida, and those of the 91st Bomb Wing return to Glasgow Air Force Base, in Montana. Both units had been operating out of Andersen Air Force Base, in Guam. The commander of 306th, Colonel Earl L. Johnson steps from the last B-52 to return to McCoy AFB. He meets his daughter and wife. Men take pictures in the background. Officers stand in the a group. He shakes hand with local officials. Crewmen with their luggage. A KC-135 Stratotanker taxis as it brings home ground crews and other support personnel. Relatives of the crewmen wait to meet them. They step from the plane. A banner reads '306th Bomb Wing Reception Center Happy Day'. The airmen enter a hangar and go through customs. The airmen meet their relatives. The scene changes from Florida, to Montana, where the final U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress of 91st Bomb wing arrives at Glasgow Air Force Base. "McNamara's Band," playing kazoos, pot, and other contrived instruments, greets the arrivals. Colonel George Phieffer Jr., Commander of 91st bomb Wing greets his wife and others. Ground crews and other support personnel also meet their families.
