Narrator announces the "9th of November in Munich." (It is 1941, early in World War 2.) A gathering of Nazi officials in a church. They are celebrating the anniversary of the Nazi Beer Hall Putsch of November 9, 1923. Next, a large group of Nazi officials are seen conversing in a large hall. Adolf Hitler arrives to the cheers and Nazi salutes of the attendees, as he walks through their midst and spends time greeting and shaking hands with his old comrades from the 1920s. He steps to a podium. Closeup of him at the podium responding to the adulation of the assembly by rendering a bent elbow Nazi salute. The audience is applauding. According to the narrator, Hitler speaks disparagingly about U.S. President Roosevelt and Soviet leader Stalin.
A column of trucks carrying grain from the seasonal harvest is seen moving along a road in rural Ukraine. A column of horse-drawn wagons also moves along the road, giving way to the motor vehicles. (Rains have delayed the harvest and collective farmers are anxious to deliver their grain.) Trucks are parked in a muddy lot and farmers carry sacks of grain, on their shoulders, to a central collection point. Soviet authorities examine the grains being delivered. Women fill sacks with grain from their trucks and men carry them into the collection warehouse. The last scene shows a truck displaying a large picture of Joseph Stalin atop the cab.
Fall of Berlin, Germany, during Battle of Berlin in World War 2. Russian Army soldiers attack. Russian soldiers fire artillery and run through the streets of Berlin. German civilians are instructed to clean up the streets by the Soviet Army. Rubble on the street. Flames and smoke rise from buildings. Destroyed airplanes are shown in a burning field. A German pilot prisoner. Past events show Hermann Goering and Benito Mussolini greeted by Adolf Hitler. (World War II period).
Fall of Berlin, Germany. Russian Army attacks Germany during Battle of Berlin near end of World War 2 in Europe. Soviet Russian forces firing rockets into Berlin at night. Explosions and fire at night in Germany. Past events show Adolf Hitler at a torchlight parade. Nazi soldiers in the parade. Scene returns again to Battle of Berlin and rubble on streets of Berlin. Wrecked and damaged buildings. Flames and smoke rising up from the buildings. German civilians loot stores for food and goods. Desperate men and women rush out of the store with the goods amidst rubble in city.
Subcommittee meeting of U.S. House UnAmerican Activities Committee (HUAC), in Los Angeles, California. A witness, Johannes (Hanns) Eisler, is sworn in, flanked by his two attorneys. Mr. Eisler reads a statement. He says that he is being prevented from earning a living. He is separated from the Hollywood film industry, accused of being a communist Soviet Agent. He asks that his attorneys be permitted to cross-examine any witnesses who may testify about him, and refers to such privilege being extended by Congressional committees to Howard Hughes and Wendell Wilkie.
