American Military Mission to Armenia is greeted in Mardin, Turkey.
Camera pans across welcoming delegation of local officials lined up in front of the railroad train of the so-called American Military Mission to Armenia, aka the Harbord Commission. (Some U.S. soldiers can be seen in and near the train.) It was arriving in Mardin, by rail, from Adana and Allepo. (Reportedly, the gentleman in black, standing to the right hand side of the lady, in the welcoming delegation, is Abdurrahman Kavvas, a descendant of the Ortoqid family that ruled Eastern Anatolia, Northern Syria and Northern Iraq in the eleventh and twelfth centuries.) In a change of scene, the camera pans over a large group of local people who pose standing side-by-side. A contingent of Turkish cavalry ride past, followed by a squad of marching Turkish infantry.

French Army General Beynet in Beirut, Syria during World War II. General Raymond Humblot and General Beynet talk and listen to radio news. General Humblot dials radio. He is Commander-in-Chief of French troops in Levant States. He leaves Residency and after conference with General Beynet gets into a car. Druze Guard presents arms as the car drives through gardens. They play trumpets. Plate at entrance of building reads 'Here was proclaimed on September 1, 1920, the independence of Great Lebanon'.

Footage of former U.S. President William Howard Taft, recently retired the week before as Chief Justice of the United States. Exterior view of the Taft house in Washington DC at 2215 Wyoming Avenue NW, Washington DC. (A Georgian Revival style house built in 1904 and purchased by Taft from Congressman Alvin Fuller. It later was the home of the Embassy of Syria in Washington DC). Car out front. Taft is returning from Asheville North Carolina to Washington DC, as he has fallen ill. William Howard Taft is taken out of a car by a few men. The men assist William Taft in walking into his house. (Taft died in the home a month later on March 9, 1930).
