Other dry ingredients are added and mixing continues. Men remove the finished gelatin with wooden scoops to eliminate the possibility of striking a spark from the metal. It is fed on a belt to a gelatin cartridging machine. It is packed into paper shells. Certain types of dynamite are dipped in metal paraffin for additional waterproofing. The dynamite is packed.
